I like anything by this writer/illustrator so I liked this too. It is simply luminous and a nice complement to his book "Snow."
Gorgeous luminous illustrations. 4 year old and 2 year old love the words and pictures. So do I. Thank you.

A toy store, bookstore and theater (M.Goose Theatre) are the main, if only attractions—because we are seeing this through a child’s eyes. This is a quiet bedtime book, describing wintertime dusk in a cityscape. Children will enjoy looking at the colorful illustrations, especially in anticipation of holiday festivities
This story follows a young child and his grandfather who are out on a walk just as the sun is setting. The city looks like a brand new place as darkness starts to fall. This book did not capture the attention of my girls. There was not much of a story to follow. They did not ask me to read it again. It did not flow well at all for us.
