Now moving to her Grandmothers in New Hampshire, she is hoping that she might be able to get some support.Detective Ephraim Williams has been living in the boarding house for years, Ephraim doesn't attach himself to anyone not after centuries of being alone. As a Pyte he is a mix between vampire and human and despite efforts over the years to kill him, he can't die. When he meets Madison, he is immediately attracted and knows he needs to stay away from her. However, he can't he wants Madison but could she accept him for who he is and with danger lurking he feels the need to protect what he is beginning to think of as his family.I liked this one but thought at times it was a bit angsty. Madison is an interesting character but at times I think she was a bit immature when it came to Ephraim. I liked Ephraim a lot, he is a big alpha male who questions himself initially with Madison but once he makes a decision he is a force to be reckoned with. Great read.

I love RL Mathewson books. The neighbors from hell series is one of my favorites. This story was good and I liked the characters but for the love of Pete, did anyone read this book before publishing? The typos were horrible, numerous and down right distracting. It became so annoying that I was losing my love for the story. It's a story of a vampire falling for a human. It's a good story and I really liked it but whoever was paid to edit this book, should refund the money.

I always enjoy stories by R. L. Mathewson. The storyline is cohesive, the characters are always likable, and she writes great banter. This one is no exception. This is the first PNR that I’ve ever read from Mathewson, and it was fantastic. The banter and dialogue alone make it worth reading. The characters are just so likable and funny, but with legit heat and some seriously steamy scenes. It’s the perfect smexy escape read. But, buyer beware: if you are the type of person that cannot read a story with grammatical error’s, and typos, this might not be the book for you. It’s riddled with typos, mistakes, and grammatical errors, but for some reason it doesn’t bother me too much. I guess it’s because I know going in that finding several errors is a high probability. Who knows? Still, I definitely recommend this for a fun, easy, and smexy good time.

The story itself is worth two stars... but everything else was atrocious. So many missing words, typos, punctuation errors etc. I can overlook mistakes here and there, but there is no way any editing was done to this book. It was awful. The last two things that annoyed me (and this might just be a 'me' thing) was that in the middle of a paragraph it changes to a different person's perspective. One minute I was in Madison's head and the next I was Ephraim or some other character. It completely takes me out of the moment. And finally, it was too long. I skimmed the last 15% or so. I will not be reading the rest of the series. I see editing doesn't get any better so it's just not worth it. If the author expects readers to pay for their work, then said author needs to be willing to put in the time and effort to make it readable.

I managed to pick this one up awhile back when it was a freebie and it languished in my TBR for quite some time. I finally dug it out and when I realized it was a bit longer read (over 6700 Kindle locations) I 'gave myself permission' to quit if I didn't like it. Well, I finished it.The book definitely has some flaws that would have likely been improved by a tighter editing, however at the heart of it were two very interesting people who sucked me deeply into the story in the first chapters. There was a bit of 'and the kitchen sink' thrown in in terms of plot points, but I did chalk some of that up to the world building as there is at least one sequel. However, as the story progressed it did lose a little of the tightness at the beginning. Given some rather abrupt seeming jumps in time and perspective it almost felt like perhaps this had started off as a series of novellas that were then melded into a full book.Other reviewers have noted, and I would reiterate, that some of the word choices, grammar/punctuation/capitalization errors were a bit much. In general I can overlook a few, but there were just enough to pull me out of the story at times. Particularly bothersome to me is the occasional (I think twice at least) lack of capitalizations--my grammar skills are far from a mastery level so if something looks odd perhaps it's my own ignorance, however...the capitalization errors do bug me ('states' when it's really States, as in 'returned to the States from overseas'). Not earth-shattering, but indeed something to notice. For those who are more grammatically inclined these might be deal breakers.The thing that bugged me the most however is that I have a new author to add to my 'needs to check an anatomy textbook' list with regards to the hymen. It's just not all that far inside...yes there are anatomical differences, but still. Let's just say the hymen in this story had a bit more of a starring role so I wish the description of activities did not imply that the darn thing is that far inside. If you're in, you're in...this in-but-only-an-inch-so-it-doesn't-count thing is annoying. As for the uber-thick version our heroine is blessed with, honestly I felt as though we were reading about a septum not a hymen.At this point my rating is a bit difficult. The story started off as a clear 5 even for me, but the point of view changes, the jumps in time, grammar issues, and that darn hymen, started pulling it down for me. Ultimately there is some really good story present and on the assumption the author will improve (or perhaps get better editing) I am very interested in seeing how this world unfolds--I bought the sequel when I was about a third done. I'm forgiving the excessive plot elements as many first books do a bit of that in their world building--not that it has to be done that way, but I can forgive that one if the next books show it was worthwhile. Given the promise shown I think this could end up as quite a fine series.I am looking forward to the next story and I do recommend giving this one a try!JTG

I have to start by saying that I've really liked most of Mathewson's books. But her characters can be pretty outrageous, verging on obnoxious. In this book, I didn't really like either of the main characters. Madison was irritating. Ephraim made some stupid, nonsensical choices. And Candy was just terrible. A villain is important to a story, but all the child abuse was too much.Also, the editing was BAD. This book desperately needed punctuation, and it was distracting. :(

Hands down, this is the best textbook I have read thus far in my college career, and I am in year four. Excellent information which is presented engagingly with lots of colors and interesting story lines. A far cry from last terms books! I will not resell this textbook as it is full of information I will use as a reference as I develop my business.

Not a terrible book, but quite out of date at this time. (This was our required book for class for the Spring 2017 semester.) There are several links they give that no longer work (aka - a LOT of the links). Also, I have come across several spelling and grammatical errors. Sometimes the terms definitions do not make sense and I have to look it up in the back of the book where it may or may not have been corrected to make sense.

The 4th Edition was required for the business class I took. It's not a bad book, but once textbooks get to the 4th edition they start getting a little --- crappy. That's the only word I can think of to describe it. There are exceptions, but in this case, basic business concepts don't change. Don't buy the book if you need it for a class; rent it instead. If you like the book, buy used older edition for a dollar or less.

I read the last review and thought well just zoom it in but they were 100% correct; it is ridiculous and not worth the savings. Just buy it or get it from somewhere else. The contents of the book itself is pretty good don't get me wrong. It is just the format of this particular download that is totally worthless. In fact Amazon should be refunding everyone who has downloaded this copy because it is a complete failure. I rented it for $50 bucks.. What a sucker I am. Anyway, don't be a sucker too; move on and find another way to get this book. I litterally could have just checked out a hard copy and took pics with my adroid and then zoomed in to read cause that is basically what they did.

I rented this for school and it arrived instantly. I can read it on my Kindle Fire during lunch time at work. I have had no problems with it. It is less than getting the actual book. I could not carry around the book and everything else I have to daily.

I am very glad to read this book. This book was very well written and is definitely a must read. I think the 100+ Delicious and Simple recipes portion of the book is pretty good for providing some basic. These are very basic Complete Freestyle Cookbook for Beginners. The author has done a great job in creating this guide. I liked thisbook and would recommend it everyone.

I like the WW Freestyle nutrition program because I can cook diet meals, knowing the zero points of the products. This book describes all the details of this type of food. This is an updated version of the WW 2019 diet, which has been modified to calculate the zero points of dishes. Here are some recipes, but what I liked most was the instant apple cake, cheesy frittata with turkey and vegetables.

This translation of the Bhagavad-Gita reveals that the teachings of the Gita are not the teachings of a particular religion, but of a purely non-sectarian spiritual science. Guided by his friend Krishna, Arjuna struggles with the big questions of life, as well as how to deal with the heart-rending task at hand: facing-off with relatives, friends, and teachers on the battlefield of Kurukshetra (which, today, is a city in the state of Haryana in India). It is a guide for living, and revelation of the nature of the universe, the soul, and most importantly the soul’s relationship with the Supreme Soul, as Dr. Schweig states in his introduction: “…..Indeed, this divine intimacy is revealed in the form of a dialogue that takes the soul on an inward journey culminating in the ultimate state of yoga, in which souls unite with the heart of God.”There are many translations of this 5,000 year old Sanskrit text and many of them have been edited down, or not translated literally, and I have found that those translations leave Krishna’s teachings a bit murky, but, Dr. Schweig’s translation is a literal translation from the original Sanskrit, thoroughly poetic, and clearly remains true to the original message of the Gita in every chapter, verse and word.

Having been a student of the Bhagavad Gita for many years now, I have read several translations and commentaries, both academic and traditional. Dr. Schweig's has struck me as deeply illuminating. While a work of rigorous scholarship it remains philosophically engaging and eminently readable. It stands out to me for its keen awareness of Krishna's original intent. Dr. Schweig expertly brings out the layers of sanskrit poetry and meaning, condensed into this ancient dialogue, unlike any other translator. I especially recommend that every reader pay close attention to his Textual Illuminations section that upon first reading, many years ago, moved me to tears. I now carry his translation with me on my kindle everywhere I travel.

Good teachers simplify the teachings so that the student can easily grasp the sacred teachings. This author does that. We were fortunate enough to have him visit our school and teach us for two days. He was able to lead us through the verses, translation and philosophy with rhythm, grace, knowledge and devotion. He was able to apply what Krishna was teaching Arjuna to conflicts we could battle today - present! Highly recommend this author and can't wait for his next translation to be published of another classical text that he could be working on.....

As a professor of religion, I have read many versions of the Gita and have assigned several of them to my classes. This translation is by far the best. I first read this translation while on a houseboat on the Keralan backwaters with the sounds of jungle temples floating across the waters, but rereading it several times hasn't dampened my initial love of the text. The translation is always accessible, yet includes the key Hindu terms with excellent concise notes that help introductory students understand the text at a deeper level, or at least understand that there are layers of meaning playing out through the text. The critical essays are also excellent. While there are some translations that are more explanatory or conversational, this translation carries the sense of gravity, inquiry and the sublime that is at the heart of the Bhagavad Gita. The critical essays are also excellent.

In addition to an excellent translation, Schweig offers some very helpful tools for fully and fruitfully entering the text including a unique introduction, a dramatis personae, a chronological list of appellations for Lord Krishna and Arjuna, literary essays, an expansive bibliography and more. If you are new to the Bhagavad Gita or a lifelong student, there is something for you in Dr. Schweig's latest offering.

Let me start by saying this is the first full version of the Bhagavad Gita that I've ever read, so I can't make any comparisons to other translations. I have read many quotes from the text, but this is the first time I've read the whole Gita beginning to end.That being said, this translation & brief commentary by Graham Schweig is phenomenal!I liken reading the Bhagavad Gita to reading Shakespeare - the text is rich with meaning, though it may be tough to grasp without extra insight. Schweig does a great job of providing a little bit of guidance while you let the text speak for itself. The final appendix, titled "On This Translation", explains Schweig's means of translating the ancient text & I highly appreciate how he did everything he could to maintain the text's integrity & complexity when presenting it in English.Having studied & practiced many of yoga's core concepts, reading the Gita is a natural extension of delving deeper into the world of yoga. The Gita adds a much richer concept of what yoga is, compared to just reading the Yoga Sutras.Whether you've had an introduction to yoga or not, Schweig does a wonderful job making the Gita understandable - and you'll likely be even more curious about yoga afterward! I can easily see myself reading & referring to this translation for many decadesNote: The Gita is a beautiful book for folks of all faiths to read, whether they consider themselves yogis or not. If you have devoted yourself to a particular religion or faith, keep an open mind when you read this book. Krishna, who is the highest God in the Hindu religion, can easily be seen as the God you have chosen to worship. Each religion has their own version of "the highest power", but more often than not, they are preaching the same message: love one another & leave the Earth better than you found it.

This is by far one of the best editions of the Gita that I have ever read. Schweig's translation is a timeless masterpiece that will touch the hearts of many for years to come.
